Throughout my time teaching at SCAD, I have instructed many students in the Industrial Design department (since 2007). The primary course taught was IDUS Model and Prototype. In this course, the students learned from my demonstration how to safely use hand tools, as well as power tools such as the table saw, vacuum former, sanders, drill press, and band saw.
Attached are a few student presentations showing their design process, and how they created their projects.
This "Process Book" format was so successful, I started implementing it in my Freshman Foundations 3D courses as well, as seen in the last example.
